We identify suitable candidates from those who are actively looking for opportunities within our network. We will manage the project through to its successful conclusion.
As we use a defined candidate pool, this approach is most suitable where an individual is required with easily identifiable experience. We suggest this approach if we feel we can find a pool of relevant candidates within our network.
Retained Search:
Headhunting techniques are employed as we search our existing candidate pool and map the market to identify suitable source companies. We will uncover a shortlist of candidates with the correct profile, relevant market experience and work with you closely throughout the process.
Retained search is best used where the requirement is for an individual with a specialist background or skill set, if their skills are in short supply or if they are in a specialist market sector.
Retained Advertised Search:
We develop a brief with you clearly identifying the key components of the role, its success metrics, position and function. Utilising our current network, headhunting and advertising to identify suitable candidates we undertake to uncover those with a relevant profile. The shortlist is assessed against the brief and the most suitable candidates delivered to you. We will continually liaise with you ensuring there is clear communication between all parties.
Retained advertised search is the most thorough approach and is best used where the requirement is for an individual with a specialist background and the widest pool of candidates needs to be covered quickly.

Head of Strategy; Leading Communications Company
Brief - The ideal candidate needed excellent stakeholder management with the ability to convert clear strategic principles into a cultural shift emphasising analytical principles.
Approach - We used our extensive consultancy, communications and FTSE business networks to ensure that we found appropriate candidates.
Results - Four candidates who matched the brief were found. All were interviewed and the best candidate was appointed.
European Marketing Manager; Leading Strategy Consultancy
Brief - The candidate needed to have a deep understanding of a consultative approach to communicating the client’s proposition both internally and externally. In addition the candidate needed to have a strong academic background and be able to demonstrate excellent deliverables.
Approach - We used our network to deliver three suitable candidates in four days, all were interviewed leading to an offer that was accepted.
Results - The candidate has developed a new external approach for the business and has delivered the plan accordingly.
Sales Manager: Niche Pharmaceutical
Brief - A candidate with at least six years experience in the industry with a proven track record of beating targets and the management skills to motivate a team of three for a new product launch was required.
Approach - With a clear process detailed with the client including timescales we targeted suitable businesses delivering a shortlist of five candidates within two weeks using search techniques.
Results - Two candidates stood out and both were offered positions one in the role initially discussed and the other in a more established product.
